Евроньюз поутру уже не в первый раз становится вдохновителем и аргументатором в пользу идей Мизеса сотоварищи.

Europe's fishermen follow French strikers example
Portuguese fishermen are digging in for the long haul as they start strike action over fuel prices. They are joining their counterparts from across Europe demanding financial compensation for the rising cost of diesel. The Portuguese government has refused them any aid.

"The situation is desperate," said one striker. "We haven't made a profit in three weeks. We are in debt because of the price of fuel."

For now there is still fish to be had on shop shelves but that is not likely to be the case for long once the unlimited strike begins to bite.

The EU says fuel subsidies would be illegal, although it has said it will be flexible in letting governments help with restructuring costs.

The fishermen say that is not good enough. In Spain which has the biggest fishing fleet in Europe they want lower fuel costs immediately. Until then all boats will remain in the harbours and there are threats of blockades, already seen in France.

Hundreds demonstrated in the French town of Quimper, 15 days into the fishermen's strike there.

Elsewhere in Brittany, at Lorient, tempers flared sparking riot scenes as fishermen blocked the port.

Рыбаки по всей Европе протестуют против повышения цен на топливо, в честь этого грабят рыбные магазины и чуть было не разгромили нефтеперерабатывающий завод, пока, наконец-то не вмешалась полиция (где она раньше была?) и не освежила погромщиков слезоточивым газом.

Кретины! Они б ещё против холодной зимы протестовали (пардон, неудачное сравнение: против глобального потепления протестуют уже другие олухи) или против того, что новый год только раз в году или против законов гравитации! Подымайте цену на свою чёртову рыбу или ищите другую работу!

На самом деле, больше всех виноваты как всегда еврочиновники со своими квотами, фиксированными ценами и прочими аттрибутами тухлого экономического евроклимата, где возможна сама постановка вопроса о том, чтоб рыбаки пошли жаловаться дяде-чиновнику на законы природы. Театр абсурда.
